Legend tells of the coming of a great warrior possessing the body of a mortal but with a soul of a dragon and spirit of the white wolf, who will one day bring the end of the great war in Skyrim and destined to destroy to the World-Eater, Alduin.

— Narrator of Amarok's Story

Amarok Stormblade (Dovahzul: DOVAhKIiNDovahkiin, "Dragonborn") but commonly known as Amarok or The White Wolf, Qahnaarin (Dovahzul: QAhNAaRIN"Vanquisher"), The Last Dragonborn, Dovahkiin, Dragon of the North and Ysmir is the infamous Dragonborn of the Fourth Era and son of Amalion Stormblade, the Great Wolf and Sophira, the previous Dragonborn.

During the years of his adventures in Skyrim, he became famously known to all as The Huntsman, The Gremlin Slayer, Champion of the Nine, Defier of the Daedra-Lords (except Nocturnal for personal reasons), Harbinger of the Companions, Blood-Brother of the Orcs, Thane of the Nine-Holds, Commander of the Dawnguards, Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, Guildmaster of the Thieves Guild, Leader of the Blades and the Arch-Mage of Winterhold.

After his final days in Tamriel, He then ascended into the Halls of Dovahndor in Sovngarde and became the new Tenth Divine and named God-King of the Dovah as his reward for defeating Alduin and ending the Civil War.

Description[]

At first glance, Amarok appears to be quiet, reserved, and an introvert who prefers to spend his time alone. He can also give off the classic "Lone-Wolf" vibe and happens to be known as quite the rebellious type during his teenage days. In other cases, he shows that he can be quite a thrill-seeker, likes to interact with only certain type of people and going out having many adventures as he likes. He is also quite the ladies man due to his rugged good looks, mysterious personality and that he is a gentleman at best.

As years passes, Amarok shows to be a very serious type when in need to get the job done and will go "Alpha" mode. This caused many in Skyrim to come and greatly respect Amarok as he shows that he is a strong leader who isn't afraid to speak his mind and will be willing to do anything to bring peace among Skyrim. Even more so when according to his allies, Amarok proves that he cares deeply for his friends and comrades and would walk through both Oblivion and Hell for them. He is also a good-hearted warrior with a strong moral code as he values the lives of the innocent and doesn't believe in sacrificing the innocent for ANY reason whether or not is it for the greater good. Amarok also shows to possess quite a fair numbers of wisdom and intelligence which he proves by outsmarting his enemies in battle or simply pointing strong-valued points when in arguments.

However, although he has very strong leadership skills and a kind-heart, Amarok can also be hot-tempered and very stubborn when he sees an act that goes against his moral code. Amarok was often shown to hate those who value themselves over others and mostly godlike beings who think highly of themselves that they would force people into worshipping them. As he once stated "Any gods who only takes rather then gives is no god to worship". He also stated to Ulfric Stormcloak "That is why I bow to no one, Nor will I be bowed to" which shows the much more humble and down to earth persona he also possessed and that he serves no one but himself and will do whats best for his friends and the people of Skyrim.

Once victim to Molag Bal, Amarok shows pure hatred towards all daedric princes as he would greatly defy any orders given by them and would only obey if there are any good reasons to do so. Any rewards he is given when he does do one of their biddings, he would only feel ashamed and would place the daedric artifacts hidden in secure places where no mortals could find them. But there are only two that he learned to truly trust, Meridia who revealed to be not truly a Daedra but an Aedra who only wants to purge the undead. Nocturnal who showed a very personal interest in the White Wolf, as she thinks of him as rather a handsome-looking warrior who happened to be a perfect balance between the light and darkness.

Biography[]

Background[]

Amarok was born in Cyrodiil on the 1st of Morning Star, 4E 175 under the original White Wolf, Amalion Stormblade, and the previous Dragonborn, Sophira Septim. The couple owned a lodge far within the north of Cyrodil as they both retired from both their iconic roles and settled down to raise a family. Years after Amarok was born, his mother was then fallen illed and died when Amarok was only a child. His father, Amalion, then continued his role as a single-parent and raised his son on his own.

Wronged and Unbound[]

After the death of Amalion Stormblade, Amarok has set out on a quest to search for The Companions in Skyrim, where he would find his father's most trusted friend, Kodlak Whitemane. However, after reaching the borders of Skyrim, Amarok had found himself caught within an ambush between Ulfric Stormcloak and the Rebellion along with General Tullius and the Imperial Legion. Before Amarok could take his chance to escape, he was severly outnumbered and only to have met a legion soldier's swinging fist to his face, knocking him out cold.

Amarok then awakens from his unconscious state and finds himself on an Imperial cart sitting next to the Rebellion leader, Ulfric, and across Ralof, and Lokir. As soon as they've reached Helgen, General Tullius orders their execution, causing Amarok to grow uneasy with each passing second. When an imperial soldier named Hadvar asked for him to step foward, Amarok begged the soldiers that there has been a misunderstanding. With Hadvar unsure what to do, the imperial captain beside him just arrogantly condemed Amarok guilty and sent him to the blocks. Just as the headsman was about to sent him to the gods, a gaint black-scaled dragon suddenly appeared and started to unleashing its wrath upon Helgen and its people.

Stunned by the might of legendary beast, Amarok manages to try to regain his balance only for one of the insurgents, Ralof, to come to his aid and cut his bindings off. Before the two take cover in the watchtower, few of the dragon's meteors blocked their path and then started to take form of small disfigured dragons out of pure black-ink. Ralof then passed one of his axes to Amarok and the two begin to fight their way to the watchtower against the small dragon minions. Amarok then presses on only to meet Hadvar along the way, the two decided to try escape together. As they managed to reach the Military Headquarters, Ralof then appeared blocking their path stating to Hadvar that they are escaping and he's not gonna stop the this time. As the two rivals seperated, Amarok was then forced to choose on who to escape Helgen with. But before he could make a decision, the black dragon then swoops down on the watchtower hovering above them, causing it to fall on Amarok before he could react and again he was knocked out cold, buried beneath all the rubble.

Before the Storm[]

After hours has passed, Amarok then awoke from his unconscious state once again and rosed from the ashes and burnt stones, finding himself to be the only living survivor in Helgen. He then gathered all of his personal belongings from the chest in the Imperial cart and eventually he founded a horse who also somehow manage survive the dragon's wrath. Amarok then mounted onto his horse and began to ride towards a nearby village which happens to be Riverwood. Along the way, he then found himself to be fading and growing weaker due to his injuries and lack of food until he finally gave in and passed out just outside the gate of Riverwood. Minutes later, a young woman named Gerdur found Amarok in his horrific state and called out her husband, Hod, to come and help her carry him to their house. As he was taken into their home, Amarok then again wakes up only to find Ralof once again who revealed to have escaped Helgen as well. Ralof then told Amarok that when he saw the tower crashed him, he thought he was dead which Amarok stated that it was a close one.

Three days passed after recovering, Amarok sent his thanks to Gerdur and her family before heading to Whiterun to seek reinforcements for Riverwood at Gerdur's request and to also continue his quest on finding Kodlak and the Companions. As he walked down the road to Whiterun, Amarok then finds the group of warriors fighting against a gaint near the farm crops, he then charged in to aid the warriors' fight and delivered a final blow striking down the gaint. After the battle, a young female warrior approached Amarok stating it was quite an impressive fight and that he would make a decent shield-brother, which he then questioned what exactly was she implying. The woman then figured that he was an outsider and answered that her name was Aela the Huntress and her fellow warriors, Farkas and Ria, are known as The Companions, this instantly caught Amarok's interest and stated that he was actually seeking them and the man called Kodlak. Alea was at first surprised at his attention but then suggested that if he were to seek Kodlak and maybe joining the Companions, he would need to head to Jorrvaskr within Whiterun.

Finally arriving in Whiterun, Amarok was first halted by a Whiterun Guard, who stated that the gates to the city was closed due to recent dragon attack. However, Amarok was given entrance after telling the guard that Riverwood was also in danger. Amarok then found the Jorrvaskr Alea has mentioned but he knew that needed to head to Dragonsreach first as Riverwood's safety needed to come first. After entering the jarl's palace, Amarok was halted again by Irileth, the housecarl of Jarl Bulgruuf the Greater. At first, she doesn't entirely trusted him even after he stated Riverwood was in danger but when he mentioned the dragon destroyed Helgen, Irileth immediately brought him to Bulgruuf to tell his story about his encounter with the black dragon. Amarok informed the Jarl about the dragon attack in Helgen and that the owner of Riverwood's lumber mill, Gerdur, requested to have more guards to be sent to Riverwood, in case of another dragon attack.

Finding the Companions[]

Jarl Balgruuf ordered Irileth to sent a squadron of guards to aid Riverwood and told Amarok that there is another task he has for him to help fight the dragon menace. He introduced Amarok to his court wizard, Farengar Secret-Fire, and told him that he has more information on the task he was giving him. Amarok was then sent out by the court wizard to fetch a tablet called the "Dragonstone" which said to provide some useful information on dragons. Before he would resume this quest, Amarok decided now it would be a perfect time for him to head over to the Jorrvaskr and maybe explore a little more of Whiterun afterwards.

As he make his way inside the home of the Companions, Amarok then came by a brawl going on between a dark elf and a strong nord woman. He knew that it was none of his concern since it is a usual thing in mead halls and taverns, so he continued on heading down to the living quarters of Jorrvaskr where he finally found the Harbinger, Kodlak Whitemane, one of his father's oldest friend. As he approached, Kodlak took noticed and spoken that "A stranger comes to our Hall", Amarok stated that he was seeking the Companions and mostly wanted to find him. Kodlak then asked him why as Amarok asked if he knew of a man called Amalion Stormblade. Kodlak chuckled, saying that he knew the Great Wolf as one of his very close friend and one he calls his true brother, Amarok smiled and replied that Amalion was his father.

But to his surprise, Kodlak said that he already knew that the moment he walked into his chambers and that last time he saw him was when he was no bigger than a loaf of bread. Then one of Kodlak's Companions, Vilkas, who was listening to the whole scenerio was actually in shock that he is staring at the Descendant of Amalion Stormblade, the Legendary Great Wolf.

Take Up Arms[]

Amarok then requested if he could join the Companions so that he could learn more of Kodlak and his father, which the Harbinger gracefully accepted. Vilkas then volunteered that he will test Amarok to see if he is as good as his father, the two made their way to the courtyard of Jorrvaskr and faced eachother in a duel. A few members of the Companions took notice and gathered around the back to witnesse the fight between Vilkas and the New Blood. The two drew their blades and fought until Amarok came up victorious which only took him three swings, Vilkas was then impressed, seeing that he really could be as good as his father. Vilkas then asked Amarok if he could do him a little request and take his sword up to the Skyforge to Eorlund Gray-Mane to which Amarok accepted.

Once Amarok finally met the blacksmith and explains that Vilkas sent him with his sword, Eorlund rightly assumes him to be the newcomer. He then ask Amarok to do a favor for him by taking Aela's shield back to her, to which Amarok accepts. After leaving the forge and returning into the living quarters, Amarok once again meet Alea, the woman he met outside of Whiterun with the giant incident. He sees her in her room speaking with a middle-aged man named Skjor, She then noticed and instantly recognisted Amarok then stated that he finally found his way to Jorrsvaskr afterall. Amarok gave her her shield to which she was greatful for and assumed that Kodlak actually let him joined the Companions. Skjor then asked Alea if she knew the new blood as he saw him fighting Vilkas not too long ago to which Amarok answered yes. Alea then said that she heard he gave Vilkas quite an impressive fight and asked if he could handle him in a real fight to which Amarok replied that he would kill him before he could draw a blade. Alea was then a little caught off-guard to said to him to ease up and that there is no need to kill a shield-brother but then felt mostly impressed and dare I write, a little hot, saying she likes his fire though and that he would make a fierce companions. She then say that they should hunt together sometimes in rather a flirtatious tone to which Amarok replie back as he would really liked that in a similar tone.

Besides the interesting tentions between the two, Alea then called out Farkas to show Amarok his new quarters. Farkas then showed up and instantly remembered Amarok before escorting him to his room, the two then shared a decent conversation before reaching the shared quarters. As they stopped, Farkas informed Amarok that many of the Companions are eager to meet him and welcomed him into the family before giving him his first job.

Amarok's death did not go unkown, as almost all of Tamriel were greatly devastated by this unfortunate news. Many upon many gathered in Whiterun around the Skyforge where his funeral was held to mourn for their fallen hero and pay their respects.

After having his body burned within the forge, Amarok's spiritual body then appeared on top of the Throat of the World and the gates to the Halls of Dovahndor were finally opened for him to walk through.
