The Dragontail War was a major conflict between the Dragontail Pact and the Aldmeri Dominion. The war lasted three years and killed 17,800 Dragontail warriors, 3,200 Valenwood Rebels and 23,000 Aldmeri soldiers. After the war the Aldmeri Dominion and Dragontail Pact both dissolved, the Southern Empire was formed controlling Cyrodiil, Elsweyr, Valenwood and the Summerset Isles and Jarald Iron-Skull was crowned emperor.
Background[]
The Dragontail War finds its origins in the Great War when the Aldmeri Dominion nearly destroyed the Cyrodiilic Empire, the empire was forced to sign a treaty ending the war on the Dominion's terms. The treaty outlawed Talos worship which angered th Nords and ceded much of southern Hamerfell to the Elves, this lead to Hammerfell leaving the Empire. Several decades later Skyrim would rebel and leave the empire as well, the Bretons of High Rock staged a coup and overthrew the Imperial government in High Rock.
